Founded in Lucca in 2015 by Italian British siblings Elia and Betsabea Faccini, the Faccini Piano Duo is renowned for an approach that combines interpretive depth, tonal exploration, and a strong creative vision. Winners of over thirty national and international competitions -including the 2022 AMUR Contest for New Talents and the 2024 Mirabent i Magrans Competition in Sitges - they complement their performances of the core repertoire for four hands and two pianos with an active dedication to composition, arrangement and transcription. Their programs bridge diverse musical worlds, ranging from Ravel and Schubert to Gershwin, Tchaikovsky, and the film scores of Williams and Morricone, embracing the piano as an instrument capable of reinventing the rich complexity of an orchestra. Alongside their duo performances, they regularly collaborate with artists such as percussionists Fabian Perez Tedesco and Marco Viel, as well as the Guadagnini Quartet. In June 2026, Da Vinci Publishing released their four-hand piano transcription of Tchaikovsky's Romeo and Juliet. In October 2022, they made their debut at the Regio Theatre in Parma for the Verdi Festival, performing original transcriptions from Giovanna d'Arco alongside actress Lella Costa. Their project Sounds of Cinema follows a similar creative path, featuring original arrangements of iconic film scores. The Duo has performed for prestigious institutions, including Società dei Concerti di Milano, Perugia Musica Classica, IUC in Rome, Musica Insieme Bologna, Egerton Music Festival, Jeunesses Musicales, Unione Musicale di Torino, Teatro Regio di Parma, and the Società dei Concerti in Parma and Trieste. In 2026, they debuted with the Toscanini's Orchestra performing Poulenc's Concerto for Two Pianos. June 2024 marked the release of their debut album, Ravel: Music for Piano 4-Hands (Da Vinci Classics), which earned a five-star review and the "Coup de cœur" award from the French magazine Classica. They have also been featured on radio networks such as Rai Radio 3, Radio Musica con le Ali and Vatican Radio. Initial studies under R. Peruzzi led to further training at the Avos Academy in Rome, the International Divertimento Ensemble Academy in Milan and the Parma Conservatory with the Trio di Parma and P. Maurizzi. They have enriched their education through masterclasses with Beatrice Rana, the GenovaDimitrov Duo and the Silver-Garburg Duo and are currently completing advanced studies with Ludmila Berlinskaya and Arthur Ancelle, teachers at the École Normale de Musique de Paris - Alfred Cortot.
