José Navarro-Silberstein is a Bolivian pianist who has performed in more than 20 countries across Europe, Asia, and the Americas. He has appeared at leading concert halls including the Musikverein (Vienna), Bozar (Brussels), ACT City (Hamamatsu), Merkin Hall (New York), TivoliVredenburg (Utrecht), and the Palacio de Festivales de Cantabria (Santander). As a soloist, he has performed with orchestras such as the Jena Philharmonic Orchestra, Norddeutsche Philharmonie Rostock, Georgian Philharmonic Orchestra, Slovak Sinfoniettaand La Paz Symphony Orchestra, collaborating with conductors including Timothy Redmond, Markus L. Frank, Wojciech Rajski, Niklas Hoffmann and many others. His artistic interests extend to historical keyboard instruments, inspired by his studies with Paul Badura-Skoda. His debut album, Vibrant Rhythms (GENUIN Classics), received international critical acclaim, earning the Supersonic Award from Pizzicato and a nomination for the ICMA 2024. An award-winning pianist, he has received prizes at the Anton Rubinstein Piano Competition, Tbilisi International Piano Competition, Young Academy Award (Rome), and Claudio Arrau International Piano Competition, and was a finalist at both the Ferruccio Busoni International Piano Competition and the Eppan Piano Academy. Navarro-Silberstein is Co-Founder and Artistic Director of Masurka Concerts, a Cologne-based concert platform dedicated to innovative programming and strengthening the connection between audiences and emerging artists. He has presented masterclasses internationally and served on competition juries in Bolivia. His studies took him to the Franz Liszt University Weimar, the University of Music and Dance Cologne, the Royal College of Music London, and the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel, where he has been Artist in Residence since 2023. He is supported by several prestigious foundations and continues to draw artistic inspiration from literature, visual arts, and electronic music.
