Trio Myrthen is an award-winning piano trio based in the UK. Since their formation in 2023 at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama, the trio have performed across the UK and Europe and have appeared at London venues such as Bechstein Hall, Barbican Centre's Milton Court and St. James' Piccadilly. They have also recorded at BBC Maida Vale Studios. Recent accolades include 3rd Prize at the 28th Luigi Nono International Chamber Music Competition in Italy and 1st prize at the St. James Chamber Music Competition.

Cyrus Yuen is a London-based violinist from Hong Kong who is studying at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama under Professor David Takeno. He was a finalist of the 2025 Victoria BCN International Violin Competition. He has participated in masterclasses with violinists Nancy Zhou and Tasmin Little CBE. He is the recipient of awards such as the EYMT Norman Harper Prize, Essex Young Musician Trust and the Brain and Julie Cue Trust. As a finalist of Guildhall's Gold Medal Competition, he will make his Barbican Hall concerto debut in April, 2026. Cyrus plays a 1750 Lorenzo & Tomaso Carcassi violin loaned to him by the Harrison-Frank Family Foundation.

Wilbert Chan is a British Hong Kong cellist who has performed internationally in Asia, Europe and North America. He is currently a Junior Fellow at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where he studied under the tutelage of Professor Tim Lowe. He previously studied with Judith Serkin and Josef Luitz. He was a finalist of the 22nd Bacewicz International Competition in Poland. He is also a passionate chamber musician, making regular appearances in chamber music festivals and performing as a member of Trio Myrthen. He has been supported by organizations such as Help Musicians UK, the Worshipful Company of Girdlers and the Lee Family Trust. He plays a modern cello made by Frank Ravatin.

Myunghan Kim is a London-based, South Korean pianist. She studied at the Seoul National University with Professor HieYon Choi and is an Artist Diploma student at Guildhall School of Music & Drama under Professor Ronan O'Hora, supported by the Guildhall School Trust and Stella Currie Scholarship. She is the recipient of the 1st Prize in the 2024 Beethoven Society of Europe Piano Competition and 2nd Prize in the 2024 Birmingham International Piano Competition. She has participated in masterclasses with pianists such as Richard Goode, Dame Imogen Cooper, Sir Stephen Hough and Paul Lewis.
