Iohan Coman is a distinguished Romanian violinist currently studying at the Royal Academy of Music in London under the tutelage of So-Ock Kim. He has led the Royal Academy of Music Chamber Orchestra under Trevor Pinnock and performed alongside the London Philharmonic Orchestra in a side-by-side concert led by Edward Gardner. His solo performances have graced prestigious venues like Wigmore Hall and Milton Court in London, featuring works such as Piazzolla's ‘Seasons'. Tim Homfray wrote in ‘The Strad': ‘Iohan Coman concluded the work with a vivacious display of rapid-fire pyrotechnics and muscularity in ‘Spring'. In February, Iohan performed with the Chamber Orchestra alongside Barbara Hannigan, and in May, he delivered a solo performance at Wigmore Hall. His dedication and talent have earned him the Royal Philharmonic Society's Emily Anderson Prize. He was also recently awarded the Countess of Munster Trust, further recognizing his outstanding musical abilities and commitment to his craft.
