Winners of First Prize at the CIMCA Competition in Arnuero, Spain, the Aida Piano Trio is a promising ensemble formed in 2022 by violinist Esther Zaglia (Italy), cellist Clélia Le Bret(France), and pianist Sofía Medina (Spain). Graduates of the Royal College of Music in London, the trio is recognised for its expressive performances, musical sensitivity, and cohesive ensemble playing. They have performed at major festivals across Europe, including the Accademia di Musica di Pinerolo in Bardonecchia (Italy), Piano Trio Day in Watford (UK), and the Festival Música de Cámara in Madrid (Spain), and were semi-finalists in the ROSL Competition. The trio has been guided by leading figures in classical music, studying with Danny Driver, Dina Parakhina, and Alexander Chaushian, and receiving mentorship from Trio Debussy, Simon Rowland-Jones, and members of the Marmen and Piatti Quartets. They have also taken part in masterclasses with Marc Danel and Denis Brott, and previously participated in IMS Prussia Cove, working with composer and pianist Thomas Adès. They are currently attending the Stauffer Academy in Cremona, continuing their artistic development under the guidance of Bruno Giuranna and Enrico Pace. The Aida Piano Trio continues to cultivate its distinctive sound and share its passion for chamber music with audiences across Europe and beyond.
