The Favonius Trio was formed at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama in 2022. Comprising three exciting and passionate members, the ensemble has performed in numerous venues across the UK and in Europe, such as Milton Court Barbican, St John's Waterloo, and Klangraum Festival Cologne; and the trio has worked closely with esteemed musicians such as Ralf Gothoni, Simon Rowland-Jones, David Dolan, Caroline Palmer, and Ursula Smith. Individually, the members have given concerts as outstanding soloists and orchestral leaders across the globe in cities such as Seoul, Beijing, Istanbul, Hamburg, Amsterdam, and London; appearing in prestigious platforms such as BBC Radio 3, and concert venues such as the Wigmore Hall, Barbican Centre, King's Place, Menuhin Hall, Elbphilharmonie and Konzerthaus Berlin. The trio strongly believes in music – and especially chamber music – as an important driving force in mending cultural division. Each hailing from a very different cultural background and musical upbringing, the group takes pride in harmoniously balancing the strong individualities of its members.
