Musical Events
St Mary's Perivale is tiny, with a maximum capacity of only 70. Its exquisite beauty and sense of 'history', its excellent acoustics and our excellent new Yamaha grand piano make it a stunning and unique venue. It is the perfect location for intimate chamber-music and solo recitals. We are fortunate in having so many superb musicians living locally, and our piano is a huge asset. We hold about 45 concerts per year, and maintain an exceptionally high standard of performance. We are now the premier venue for chamber and instrumental music in West London, and our reputation is growing rapidly.

There are about 15 weekend concerts per year, either on Sunday afternoons at 3 pm or Saturday evenings at 7.30 pm.. Admission is free with a retiring collection. No tickets are issued beforehand.

Wednesday concerts.

We hold concerts on alternate Wednesday evenings throughout the year - about 24 in all - each with 2 contrasted musical items, each of about 40 minutes, to provide many more performing opportunities for musicians. This format provides more variety and works very well indeed. The standard of performance is consistently excellent, and the concerts are free - including wine - with a retiring collection. They give much pleasure to a loyal and enthusiastic audience, with high-quality chamber and instrumental music followed by liberal wine and good company. Come and enjoy !

We try to provide as many performing opportunities for professional musicians as possible. Click here to see a list of some of the musicians who have performed at St Mary's Perivale since 2004. They include over 130 pianists, 80 violinists and 60 cellists.

Non-musical events

We are keen to ensure that enthusiasts in a wide range of different artistic activities also make full use of this wonderful church. Other events include dramatic performances and readings, and occasional exhibitions of art and local history. In addition, the church is still consecrated, although redundant, and we strive to maintain its 'spiritual' life, continuing an 870 years tradition of worship in Perivale, since c1135, when the church was built. We hold several services - Harvest Festival, Remembrance Sunday and carol services - each year, conducted by our local clergy, as well as holding 'Quiet Days', and hosting 'away days' for local churches.
