Philippa Davies has gained an international reputation as one of the finest flautists currently performing; she has been described as a ‘first-rate virtuoso', with ‘exceptional eloquence'. As a soloist she has performed and recorded with the New Stockholm Chamber Orchestra, all the BBC Orchestras, the English Chamber Orchestra, City of London Sinfonia, and the London Mozart Players. After studying, she joined the Fires of London and Albion Ensemble and was principal flute of the London Mozart Players. Now she plays in the Nash Ensemble, London Winds, has duo partnerships with Jan Willem Nelleke (piano) and Maggie Cole (harpsichord) and regularly plays guest principal flute with the main London orche s tras. Her numerous recording include Mozart's entire original concertos and quartets ,Bach's Flute Sonatas , Romance of the Flute and Harp, William Alwyn's flute music Poulenc's Flute Sonata, and the recent release on Signum of Paul Reade's Flute Concerto and the Victorian Kitchen Garden Suite. This season Philippa will be appearing at the Cordoba Festival, Aldeburgh and Southern France. Philippa is a Professor at the Guildhall School of Music and every summer runs her own International flute course in Cubertou , France .

Laurence Perkins is well-known worldwide for his pioneering work as a solo bassoonist. He has given solo performances and played in orchestral and chamber concerts throughout the UK, Europe and worldwide. His live broadcasts include solo performances on BBC Radio 3 and Classic FM. Laurence's recordings for Hyperion include the Mozart Concerto which was a top recommendation on BBC Radio 3's Record Review programme. He has also made solo recordings with the CBSO, the New London Orchestra, the Royal Scottish National Orchestra and the English Chamber Orchestra, with two albums (2019 and 2021) reaching No.4 in the UK Classical Charts. Laurence was bassoon tutor and Director of Wind Chamber Music at Dartington International Summer School for 18 years, and continues to be very committed to working with amateur musicians as a bassoon and chamber music tutor.

Dutch pianist Jan Willem Nelleke's exceptional qualities as a duo partner have been widely recognised; his playing has been described as 'sparkling raindrops, rich chords and beautiful interludes' and an 'ever alert co-operation with the soloist'. Himself a noted composer of songs and chamber music, he has also produced a large number of arrangements that have found their way into the repertoire.
Recordings include chamber music by Poulenc, works for cello and piano by Schumann, song cycles by Schubert and Fauré, as well as the Gershwin Piano Concerto following a critically lauded performance at the Concertgebouw, Amsterdam. Recently a new recording of songs by female composers with mezzo soprano Betti na Smith has been released. In addition to his performance schedule Jan Willem Nelleke is in great demand as a coach. He teaches at the Royal Conservatoire (The Hague) and at the Franz-Schubert-Institut (Austria) of which he is a board member.
