Rokas Valuntonis is from Lithuania, and studied in the Panevežys Conservatory of Music, and at the National M. K. Ciurlionis School of Arts and the Lithuanian Music and Theatre Academy, graduating as a piano soloist. In 2011 he also completed an internship in Sibelius Academy (Helsinki,Finland). After completing his formal studies Rokas has been continuing his development with renowned pianist Eugen Indjic in Paris. He is a prize winner of more than 20 international piano competitions in Europe, including : 1st prize and Blüthner grand piano in the Nordic Piano competition in Malmo, Sweden (2010), 2nd prize in the International M. K. Ciurlionis Piano Competition in Vilnius, Lithuania (2011), and winner of the International Music Competition “Societa Umanitaria” in Milan, Italy (2013). He has performed in Lithuania, other Baltic Countries, Spain, Denmark, Finland, France, Sweden, German, Portugal,Belgium, Austria and Japan. He has performed in all major Lithuanian concert halls and has already gained a wide listeners' following. Rokas has been invited to international festivals across Europe and in Japan to perform alongside acclaimed pianists like Andrei Gavrilov and Eugen Indjic. As of 2015 he is also invited to give annual master classes in Portugal.For his achievements he has been rewarded by the prestigious Queen Morta award as well as acknowledgements by Lithuanian Republic Presidents Valdas Adamkus and Dalia Grybauskaite.
