Award-winning cellist Michael Petrov has captivated audiences with his expressive musicality and direct eloquence. Recognized as an ECHO Rising Star during the 2015/16 season, he has performed in prestigious halls including Amsterdam's Concertgebouw, Vienna's Musikverein, Carnegie's Weill Hall, and Paris's Cité de la Musique. Michael has appeared internationally at festivals like the Los Angeles Cello Festival, the Kronberg Cello Festival and toured across China, Argentina, Europe and the US. As a soloist, Michael has collaborated with prominent orchestras such as the Philharmonia, Bournemouth Symphony, and Munich Chamber Orchestra under distinguished conductors Edward Gardner and Gianandrea Noseda. Notable performances include Prokofiev's Sinfonia Concertante at London's Barbican, Tchaikovsky's Rococo Variations with the Royal Philharmonic, and Barber's Concerto at Birmingham's Symphony Hall. He notably premiered JR Heath's Cello Concerto, celebrating cellist Kenneth Heath's centenary. Michael, formerly a key member of the acclaimed Trio Isimsiz, earned the Borletti-Buitoni Trust Fellowship Award in 2018. Originally from Bulgaria, he trained at the Yehudi Menuhin School and Guildhall School, securing numerous awards including the Gold Medal and Wigmore Hall Prize. Michael performs on a 1745 Jean-Baptiste Vuillaume cello, generously loaned by a private collector.
Since graduating with a Masters in Solo Performance from the class of Professor Joan Havill at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, Rosie Richardson has become well known for her work as a collaborative pianist. In this capacity, Rosie has given recitals at Milton Court, thWigmore Hall, the Purcell Room, Bridgewater Hall and the 1901 Arts Club in addition to music societies around the country. Overseas engagements have taken her across Europe and to the USA. Alongside this work, Rosie is ordained in the Church of England and is currently Associate Vicar at St. Paul's Knightsbridge, where she enjoys the variety of being a priest and pianist.
