Since forming in September of 2022, the Elvira Trio has focused primarily on developing their connection and sound, mastering the fundamentals of chamber music together and building a solid repertoire base. The first competition they auditioned for was the St James Piccadilly. They later took part in the Ivan Sutton and the Tunnel Trust chamber music competitions where they performed in the final rounds. In their most recent outing, Elvira performed for the Felix Mendelssohn Bartholdy Foundation Gala successfully raising £870 towards the charity.
While training at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama, they successfully auditioned for the Advanced Chamber Music course. The trio performed in multiple performance classes and had regular coaching with Carole Presland, Ralph de Souza, Ursula Smith, Lucy Gould, Caroline Palmer and Sara-Jane Bradley. They are currently working with composer Mathis Saunier on arranging a piece written for LSO into a piano trio.
Through a shared love of chamber music, performance and friendship, the Elvira Trio intend to cultivate a long and fruitful career delivering a unique sound and performance that only they can provide. They are looking to create a diverse and rich profile that is not limited to any specific musical category. To avoid any limitations, they are actively seeking to collaborate with composers and other musicians/ensembles. While developing their group sound and repertoire, they are methodically choosing pieces that form quality programs for public consumption andalso can be used regularly in competitions and auditions for trusts.
