Tommaso Carlini completed his first Degree in piano in 2010 at the Santa Cecilia Conservatoire in Rome where he had been studying with Francesco Martucci since 2005; the Diploma was awarded with the highest mark and with an artistic special mention. Subsequently, he studied privately with Aldo Ciccolini (2012-2014) and with Giovanni Bellucci at the G.Verdi Conservatoire in Milan. He recently finished his Konzertexamen in Luzern (fully financed by a scholarship offered by the Kurt und Silvia Huber Oesch Stiftung) with the pianist Konstantin Lifschitz at the Hochschule für Musik Luzern, he played in June with Luzern Symphony Orchestra in the prestigious KKL hall the “Burleske” from Richard Strauss. Tommaso has undertaken master classes with (among others) M° Michele Campanella, Leslie Howard, Andrzey Jasinsky, Marc Laforet, Elisso Virsaladze, Yves Henry. He has performed as a soloist as well as with orchestral accompaniment in several prestigious venues in Italy and abroad. These include: “Parco della musica” of Rome (Sinopoli Hall, Petrassi Hall), the academic Saal of the Vatican Institut for Sacred Music, the Hungarian Institute of Paris, the Kennedy Haus in Darmstadt, St Charles Hall in Meggen, in London at St Mary's Perivale and St Martin's Ruislip, Mirbachov Palac in Bratislava.... In 2012 Tommaso took part in the “Liszt a Roma” project, a DVD produced by musicologist Gaia Vazzoler in collaboration with Michele Campanella and Mario Bortolotto, recording various Liszt pieces for it. In 2015 Tommaso released his first CD, of Chopin's piano works from 1838-39. It was published by “Finest Art Records” (NAXOS). Since 2020, parallel to his permorming activities, is teaching piano at the musical Lyceum Alpenquai in Luzern. Tommaso is also a composer and often performes his composiIons in concert. In 2023 he performed his composition “increspature” in Conservatory of Trieste in a conference dedicated to the Italian Composer Luigi DallaPiccola.
