Ben Wragg (violin) & Abi Wragg (cello) met at The Purcell School. They then went on to study respectively at The Royal Academy of Music and The Guildhall School of Music & Drama. They were both scholars of the Concordia Foundation with whom they gave many performances across London and the UK. Ben's playing has been described by the legendary violin virtuoso Ruggiero Ricci as ‘technically and musically out of the ordinary' and has been praised by Musical Opinion Magazine for his ‘smooth creamy sound' while having both performing and teaching careers, Ben & Abi's children have also developed into serious young musicians.
Joseph Wragg began his singing training as a music scholar at Harrow School with Mark Chaundy as well as singing regularly in the Chapel Choir and The Byron Consort. Joseph has continued his singing as an academical clerk in the Magdalen College Choir under the directorship of Mark Williams. While at Oxford he has given recitals of Brahms' Four Serious Songs, Bach's Cantata Ich Habe Genug, Mahler's Kindertotenlieder,
Elara Wragg started learning the piano at the Rachmaninov Music Academy where she received her general musical training (solfeggio, choir, chamber music) and was taught piano by Elena Berezovsky. During this time she gave regular public performances and received prizes at competitions including the Richmond, Ealing and North London festivals. At the age of 10 she went to The Purcell School studying with Danielle Salomon. Elara is now studying with Anahit Tchaouchian at The Yehudi Menuhin School. Recent concert appearances include Haydn & Mozart Concertos with the Tchaikovsky Camerata and public masterclasses with Andreas Frolich & Plamena Mangova. Alongside her solo repertoire, Elara is a keen accompanist and chamber musician.
