Alexandra Lomeiko (violin) was born in 1991 and began violin lessons at the age of 5 in Christchurch, New Zealand. During the following years she received many awards and prizes around New Zealand including 2nd place at the Sentinel Performers Competition (2005) and 3rd place at the National Concerto Competition (2008).2006 brought Alexandra to London to study at the Purcell School of Music in London. Through her studies there, she had her solo recital debut at Wigmore Hall in October 2009 and, in November of the same year, at the Watford Colosseum performing Tchaikovsky Violin Concerto with the Purcell School Symphony Orchestra. Since then, she has performed as a soloist and chamber musician in many prestigious venues around London and the UK.
Anna Ziman (violin) was born in Russia where she started playing the violin at the age of 4. In 2012 she moved to the UK to pursue her studies and completed both Bachelor and Masters degree at the Royal College of Music, London. In 2020 she has successfully auditioned and became a fellow with Southbank Sinfonia. After completing the fellowship she has been enjoying a freelancing career in London as a chamber and orchestral musician. In 2021 she became a founding member of Limáni Piano Trio and the ensemble made their debut performance at the Blackheath Halls. Anna is a violin tutor at the Yehudi Menuhin School since 2015.
George White (viola) grew up in the South West and was immersed in music from an early age, singing in his local church choir and later as a chorister at Salisbury Cathedral. He went on to hold a scholarship at Wells Cathedral School, later gaining a place at the Royal Academy of Music where he studied with Garfield Jackson. An alumnus of Southbank Sinfonia, George now freelances with ensembles across the UK and Europe, the Philharmonia, Paraorchestra and Friends, the European Union Chamber Orchestra, La Folia and the Edington Ensemble.
Ricardo Tauber (cello) is from Portugal. In 2017 he graduated with a degree from Royal Welsh College of Music and Drama. After a year of teaching in Cardi?, he returned to Portugal in August 2018, studied privately with Filipe Quaresma, and became a founding member and principal cellist of the Orquestra Nacional Moderna and in the extra list for several orchestras all over Portugal. In 2020 he joined the cello section of the Southbank Sinfonia.
Elena Toponogova (piano) is a concert pianist and chamber musician based in London. Her repertoire is primarily comprised of Russian music, with a particular focus on the works of Nikolai Medtner. Her competition successes include the prize for the best performance of a Prelude and Fugue by J.S. Bach at the Nuova Coppa International Piano Competition in Italy and 1st prize at the Nikolai Rubinstein International Competition in Paris. In 2017, Elena earned a Master of Performance degree from the Royal College of Music under the guidance of Norma Fisher. Elena has participated in numerous music festivals, such as the Blanc European Festival in Italy, Bloomsbury Festival, and is a regular guest at the Festival of Chichester.
