Harvest Festival
in the church
organised in association with
the Pitshanger Allotments Conservation Association
led by Rev Valerie Aitken
St Mary's Perivale is still a consecrated building, and has resonated to Christian worship for almost 900 years. Many of us will remember Harvest Festivals in small churches throughout the UK in our youth. We wish to recreate this magical event in our glorious building. The Evensong will include congregational singing of the traditional hymns - We plough the fields and scatter' and 'Come ye thankful people come'. All welcome.
We would welcome small contributions of produce to give the church a traditional 'Harvest' feel. If you would like to bring some of your own produce, please arrive before 2.45 pm. After the short service we will sell the produce to the congregation and give the money to a local charity. Please bring cash if you want to purchase some tasty items.
PLEASE DONATE to support our musicians and maintain our beautiful church
We receive no external funding and all our team are unpaid volunteers.
Thank you for your support.
We photograph, livestream and record every concert at St Mary's Perivale.
You may be identifiable in some of the images and, by attending our concerts, you are giving your consent to this.
