Joanna Kacperek is highly celebrated for being a multi-faceted pianist, both as a soloist and a collaborative pianist. She has performed in major concert halls in her native Poland as well as in Europe, Canada and Japan. Concerto appearances include performances with such orchestras as the Symphony Orchestra of the National Philharmonic in Warsaw and the Lviv Virtuosos Chamber Orchestra. Recent performances include recitals in Oxford, London, Barcelona (LIFE Victoria Festival), and Festival de La Gente in France. Joanna's debut solo album will be released in September this year with Rubicon Classics label.
Joanna was a finalist at the Royal Over-Seas League Competition in London (2022). Other awards include the Titanic Memoriam Pianist Prize at the Lies Askonas Vocal Competition, a special prize at the International Grieg Piano Competition in Bergen, the first prize at the International Beethoven Chamber Music Competition, Poland, The Zetland and the C.Bechstein Foundation scholarships (Royal College of Music - 2021), the Erasmus scholarship (Berlin University of Arts' with Prof. Markus Groh) and first prizes at competitions: ‘F.Chopin' Szafarnia, the ‘B.Smetana' in Pilsen and the ‘M.Magin' Paris.
Joanna has been an ‘Oxford Song Young Artist' with Clara Barbier Serrano (2022-2024). Their duo has also recently won the Lied Innovation prize of the Rhonefestival fur Liedkunst in Switzerland and qualified for the prestigious Wigmore Hall International Song Competition 2024.
In 2021, Joanna graduated from the Royal College of Music in London, where she studied with Prof. Norma Fisher. She also graduated from the Chopin University of Music in Warsaw in 2017, where she studied with Prof. Ewa Poblocka and Prof. Maja Nosowska.
