Nour Ayadi (piano)

Born in Morocco in 1999, Nour Ayadi began playing the piano at the age of 6. Admitted at 17 years old at the Conservatoire National de Musique de Paris in the class of Claire Désert and at the École Normale de Musique Alfred Cortot, she is at 20 the winner of the prestigious Prix Cortot 2019. Winner the same year of the Virtuoses du coeur (1st Prize), she had distinguished herself in 2017 with a 1st Prize at the Baku International Classical Music Competition, and in 2016 with the Grand Prize at the S.A.R. Lalla Meryem International Piano Competition in Morocco.

She has been invited to numerous festivals, including La Roque d'Anthéron, Folles Journées de Nantes, Glafsforden Musik Festival in Sweden, Festival Chopin-Nohant, Les Pianissimes, or the the Alizés festival, which saw her perform the Grieg Concerto at the age of 15. In parallel to her young career as a soloist, Nour is a student at Sciences Po Paris in a Master's programme in Public Affairs. Nour has also been invited as an artist in residence at the Académie Musicale de Villecroze. In 2020, her first CD featuring works by Robert and Clara Schumann and Stravinsky was released and presented on France Musique and the Women's Radio Station in London.

Nour is currently supported by the ADAMI Foundation, the Fondation l'Ambassadrice, the Meyer Foundation, the Nadia and Lili Boulanger Centre and the Lieven Piano Foundation. After obtaining her Master's degree at the Conservatory with the highest distinction, she was recently admitted as a Master Soloist in the class of Nelson Goerner in class in Geneva. She is also a member of the 2021-2022 class of artists of the Académie Jaroussky. In September 2021, Nour will join the Queen Elisabeth Music Chapel as Artist in Residence.
