South Korean violinist Anna Im earned her Bachelor of Music degree at the Curtis Institute of Music where she studied with Shmuel Ashkenasi and Aaron Rosand. She was awarded the Curtis/Milka Violin Artist Prize at her graduation in 2020.

Anna won 1st prize in the 2019 Michael Hill International Violin Competition in New Zealand. As a winner of the competition,  Anna made her prize recording through an extraordinary partnership with the Tongyeong International Music Foundation and pianist Ilya Rashkovskiy. Her debut album 'Amabile' will be released by the Atoll Records label in 2021.  Sought after for her beautiful tone and expressive artistry, Anna has appeared as a soloist with the  Auckland Philharmonia Orchestra, Baden-Baden Philharmonic, Daejeon Philharmonic Orchestra, and Salzburger Solisten, among others.

At the age of eight, Anna was invited to perform for the Thai Royal Family, only a year after she began playing the violin. She won the Little Mozart Competition in Korea the following year and was subsequently invited to perform at Schlosskonzerte Mirabell in Salzburg, Austria in celebration of the 250th anniversary of Mozart's birth.

In 2012, Anna moved to the United Kingdom to commence studies with So-Ock Kim, professor at the Royal Academy of Music in London. There, she attended Millfield school until she entered the Curtis Institute of Music in 2014. Her other mentors include Haiyup Yang, Sungsic Yang, Paul Kim, and Clive Hughes.

Since fall of 2020, she has been pursuing her Master's Degree at the Royal Academy of Music with So-Ock Kim.
