Trio Cotazar is a newly-formed piano trio comprising three distinguished musicians.
Bartosz Woroch was born in 1984 in Poland, and studied in Poznan, Berne and at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama where he held a Fellowship. He was selected for representation by Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) in 2011. He is a laureate of the 2005 Michael Hill (New Zealand), 2003 Pablo Sarasate (Spain) and 2001 Takasaki (Japan) International Competitions. In 2011, he was appointed to the violin staff of the Guildhall School of Music & Drama.
Ursula Smith studied at the Royal Northern College of Music in Manchester and Yale University. She was Principal Cello of the Scottish Chamber Orchestra from 1993-2002 and a member of the Zehetmair String Quartet from 2006 to 2012. She is a Professor at the Guildhall School and the Conservatorium Maastricht in Holland.
Jianing Kong was born in 1986 in China, and studied at the Purcell School and the Royal College of Music. He has won numerous prizes in international piano competitions such as the Leeds, Scottish, Santander, Beethoven (Bonn), Valsesia and Tunbridge Wells and performed around the world. He is a Professor at the Royal College of Music.
