Timothy Ridout was born in London in 1995 and studied at the Royal Academy of Music, graduating with the Queen's Award for Excellence. He was selected by Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT) in 2016 and in the same year joined the Kronberg Academy in Germany, where he currently studies with Nobuko Imai. Awards include 1st Prize at the 2014 Cecil Aronowitz and 2nd Prize at the 2015 Windsor Festival International Competitions. Since winning 1st Prize in the Lionel Tertis International Viola Competition in 2016, Timothy has gone on to perform widely in Europe, and now has a blossoming career with prestigious solo and chamber music engagements.
Yume Fujise (Violin) is a Japanese violinist currently living in London. Recently she has been appearing live on BBC Radio 3 In Tune on numerous occasions as their BBC Introducing Classical Artist and has performed in major international venues. Yume studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School with Lutsia Ibragimova and at the Kunst Universität Graz with Boris Kuschnir. Yume is currently studying her Masters degree after completing her Bachelor of Music at the Royal College of Music. During her time at the RCM, Yume has already won the 2014 and 2018 Violin Competition and 2015 Concerto Competition and 2017 Concerto Competition. She has recently joined Nicola Benedetti's quartet. Yume plays on a Jean Baptiste Vuillaume, Paris 1868 which has been generously loaned to her by Masahiro Suzuki.
Katherine Yoon (Violin) studied at the Yehudi Menuhin School. She is a passionate chamber musician, and has performed with Maxim Vengerov, Vadim Repin, Valeriy Sokolov, Roman Simovic and Daniel Rowland. She was awarded First Prize at the World Music News Competition, Haneum Competition and the Music Association of Korea Competition. Katherine currently studies at the Royal College of Music in London with Itzhak Rashkovsky on a full scholarship. She is grateful for the kind support of the Anne & Brian Wadsworth Scholarship and the ISH Award. Katherine plays on a violin by Matteo Goffriller c.1700, loaned to her by the RCM.
Otoha Tabata (Viola) won The North International Competition 2018, and was awarded the Promotion Prize from the Anton Rubinstein Competition 2018. She was a semi-finalist in the Cecil Aronowitz International Viola Competition. Otoha was accepted to the Yehudi Menuhin School aged 10. Currently she is studying at the Royal College of Music London, with Prof. Andriy Viytovych. She has gained a full scholarship as a Soirée d'Or Scholar, kindly supported by the Ladies of the Soirée d'Or Committee
Kieran Carter (Cello) is currently in his first year of Masters studies at the Royal College of Music as an RCM scholar. In October 2018 Kieran was selected to take part in the BBC Symphony Orchestra's Pathway Scheme. Kieran loves to play chamber music, with highlights including a performance of Mendelssohn's Octet at RCM with Maxim Vengerov, playing alongside the Sacconi Quartet at their festival in Folkestone, and the Maiastra String Quartet courses. He plays on a 19th century Colin Mezin Cello kindly on loan from the Cherubim Music Trust.
