Andrzej Wiercinski was born in Poland in 1995 and started playing the piano at the age of six. He studied at the G. Bacewicz Secondary School of Music in Warsaw, and then the Secondary Music School named after Zenon Brzewski in Warsaw. He has an impressive record of success at prestigious national and international piano competitions, most notably at: the National Festival “Chopin's Youth Interpretations” in Zychlin (1st prize, 2011), the International M. Moszkowski Competition in Kielce (1st prize and award for the best performance of the work by M. Moszkowski, 2011), the National Competition in Konin (1st prize and award for the best performance of a work by K. Szymanowski, 2012), the National Competition for Young Pianists in Warsaw (1st prize, 2012), the International F. Chopin Competition in Darmstadt (finalist and special prize for the best Polish pianist, 2013), the International Competition "Halina Czerny-Stefanska in Memoriam" in Poznan (3rd prize, 2014), the International F. Chopin Competition "Golden Ring" in Slovenia (1st prize, 2014), and the International F. Chopin Competition in Budapest (1st prize and concert engagements, 2014). In 2015, at the age of 19, he won first prize at the 46th Polish F. Chopin Competition in Warsaw.

Andrzej has played many recitals at Chopin's birthplace, and at the Chopin Museum in Warsaw. He has also collaborated with the best Polish orchestras, such as the National Philharmonic Orchestra and the Polish National Radio Symphony Orchestra. He has performed concerts in most European countries as well as in Canada, Japan and Indonesia. He has cooperated with the KAWAI company, which invited him to play in Asia. During the visit to Japan in 2015 of the President of Poland Bronislaw Komorowski, Andrzej played a Chopin recital in Tokyo in the presence of Princess Masako Owada . He has taken part in international master courses conducted by eminent pedagogues, and plans to undertake a further course in August 2018 in The Netherlands – The International Holland Music Session – under the supervision of Professor of the University of Paris, Michel Beroff. He is the holder of the F. Wybranczyk Artistic Scholarship of the Sinfonia Varsovia Foundation, as well as of the Krystian Zimerman Scholarship and the YAMAHA Foundation Artistic Scholarship. He released his first CD, containing works by Chopin, Schumann and Scarlatti, in 2016.

Andrzej is currently in the first year of a Masters degree at the Karol Szymanowski Academy of Music in Katowice, in the piano class of Prof. Wojciech Switala. He has been selected to participate in the finals of the Leeds International Piano Competition in September 2018.
