Camiel Boomsma is praised by press and public for his remarkable maturity, his extraodinairy beautiful sound and unique touch. Boomsma has performed at many major national and international venues and series including the Concertgebouw in Amsterdam, the prestigous Schloss Elmau, the Meesterpianisten series in theater Heerlen, Teatro la Fenice in Venice, The Grachtenfestival Amsterdam, St John's Smith square in London, and he performed live at television programmes such as VPRO's ”Vrije Geluiden”. As part of an extensive solo recital tour through China, he performed in 6 prestigious concert halls. He has been invited to return in june 2020. Boomsma is also a regular guest at International festivals. In the summer of 2018 he will perform during the Grachtenfestival in Amsterdam and the Musica Sacra Festival in Maastricht. He will appear with the Noord Nederlands Orkest in 2020 in Chopin's 2nd pianoconcerto.Camiel Boomsma's Wagner journey has been highly praised world wide. in 2013 he made a daring album debut with unknown piano transcriptions and surprised press and public with his deep understanding for Wagner's music. His recordings of Transcriptions for piano and Porazzi for Etcetera Records received many raving reviews in BBC Music magazine (5 stars), Diapason (4 stars), Trouw, NRC, De Volkskrant, Luister Magazine, Classica and many more. For his latest album Musings he has been hailed for his highly poetical and imaginative playing and was compared with Lupu, Pires and Marc-André Hamelin. A new 3-recording project ”The innermost side” is set for 2019, 2020 and 2021, consisting of three albums, a media campaign and a special artists' film-portraits project ‘'The innermost side of..''.
