Thomas was born in Chislehurst in 1998, and has lived in Kent and Cheshire as well as London where he currently studies at the Royal College of Music. In Kent he made his concerto debut in 2009 with Mozart 24 in the Marlowe Theatre, Canterbury, and in the North West he won multiple prizes at the Birmingham festival, and 3rd prize in the 2012 Young Pianist of the North in Newcastle. In 2014 he won the WACIDOM competition in Warrington, a year before going to study at the Purcell School in Bushey. He won the senior concerto prize at Purcell where he studied for two years, and has since won 1st prizes at competitions in Lucca Virtuoso&Bel Canto, Kharkiv Assemblies, and at Pianale International Piano Competition. This year he has played with orchestra four times, including the Dvarionas Concerto in Vilnius broadcast on European Radio, and Brahms 2nd concerto in the Cadogan Hall with the Purcell Symphony Orchestra. He has also performed in venues such as the Wigmore Hall, St Martin-in-the-Fields, Poole Arts Centre, the Steingraeber Hall in Bayreuth, and recently at the Bedford concert series. Thomas has been taught by Andrew Ball for the past 3 years and is currently studying in second-year undergrad with a full scholarship generously donated by C. Bechstein pianos and Pat Kendall-Taylor.
