Katarzyna Golofit was born in 1992 in Koszalin, Poland. She began her music education in Koszalin and graduated, with the highest marks and honorable mention, from the Feliks Nowowiejski Music Academy in Bydgoszcz. She now studies at the Conservatory ,,Claudio Monteverdi” in Bolzano. She is the laureate of numerous piano competitions such as Third Polish-German Piano Competition in Z?agan´(1st Prize), National Piano Competition in Konin (3rd Prize), National Piano Competition in Koszalin (2nd Prize), International Piano Competition ,,Milosz Magin” in Paris (3rd Prize), International Piano Competition “Chopin+...”in Budapest (2nd Prize), International Piano Competition in Rome (3rd Prize), National I.J.Paderewski Piano Competition in Piotrków Trybunalski (1st Prize), International Piano Competition Giangrandi- Eggman in Cagliari, Sardinia (1st Prize), National Piano Competition organized by the Centre of Artistic Education (1st Prize), XII Premio delle Arti 2017 Competition (2nd prize), XI International Chopin Piano Competition in Darmsadt 2017 (2nd prize), III International Piano Competition "Roberta Gallinari" in Pieve di Cento, 2017 (third prize). In 2014, on the occasion of 100the anniversary of Andrzej Panufnik's birth, she played his Piano Concerto with the National Polish Orchestra in the National Philharmony in Warsaw. She has also played in a piano duo with Aleksandra Baldys, winning first prizes in national chamber music competitions in Torun´, Gdynia, Katowice, Sohaczew and Lomianki. She has also played in a cello duo with Anna Banas winning the first prize in a 1st Chamber Music Competition “Sopromist” in Bolzano. She has performed many times with the Polish Philharmonies Orchestras. She received many rewards and scholarships such as Scholarships of the President of Koszalin and President of Bydgoszcz, Scholarship of Minister of Culture and National Heritage of Poland, Scholarship of the National Fund for Children. She has given concerts in Poland, Italy, France, Norway, Germany, Switzerland and Bulgaria.
