The Seta String Sextet

Wiltshire born soprano Siân Dicker is a scholarship student at the Guildhall School of Music & Drama on the Artist Masters vocal studies course. She completed the Graduate Certificate year at GSMD gaining a Postgraduate Diploma with Distinction, and prior to this completed her Undergraduate BMus studies at City University London, graduating with a First class Honours in 2014. She won the International Voice of the Future competition at the Llangollen International Musical Eisteddfod in July 2017, and the Dunraven Welsh Young Singer of the Year competition in March 2017. She was also a finalist for the 2017 Dean & Chadlington Festival Singing competition as well as the Chartered Surveyors' Vocal Prize at GSMD. Siân has recently given recitals at LSO St Luke's, Kings College London, City University London and Edington Priory. She most recently sang in a recital of new music in collaboration with Guildhall School composers at Wigmore Hall in May 2017.

Stephen Rose is one of the most highly-regarded accompanists in London today. He is a senior vocal coach at the Guildhall School and the National Opera Studio, and a guest coach at the Cardiff International Academy of Voice. The accompanist in residence with the Philharmonia Chorus, he previously worked as a repetiteur and harpsichordist with the Welsh National Opera, and has also enjoyed guest seasons in France, Italy, Norway, Turkey, USA, South America and a recital tour of Russia. He has coached or performed at all the major British Festivals including Glyndebourne, Aldeburgh, Edinburgh, Bath, Wexford and the National Eisteddfodau in Wales.

The Seta Sextet is formed of students from both sides of the Atlantic, all of whom are completing postgraduate degrees at the Guildhall School of Music and Drama. In the United Kingdom, members of Seta Sextet have played under the baton of Sir Simon Rattle, Marin Allsop, and Valery Gergiev, and have given performances at Barbican Hall, Wigmore Hall, Cadogan Hall, Queen Elizabeth Hall and Royal Festival Hall. Elsewhere in the world, the members of Seta Sextet have performed in Canada, the United States, Germany, Italy, Israel, the Carribean and China.
