Born in 1991 in London, Alexander Ullman studied at the Purcell School, the Curtis Institute of Music and currently the Royal College of Music. He also studied with Elisso Virsaladze at the Fiesole Scuola di Musica, Florence. In 2011 he won 1st Prize at the Liszt Competition in Budapest and in 2014 he was selected for representation by Young Classical Artists Trust (YCAT). He has given concerts throughout Europe, Asia and America. Over the last year he has performed Chopin Concerto No.2 with Vladimir Ashkenazy at the Royal College of Music, Tchaikovsky's Concerto No 1 in Italy and Liszt's Concerto No.1 with the Cardiff Philharmonic Orchestra at St. David's Hall, and toured China the USA and various European centres. Future engagements include a return to Wigmore Hall, appearances in the Nottingham International Piano Series, his debut with the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and the Ravel Concerto at Cadogan Hall. During his studies Alexander has won numerous awards at international competitions including 1st Prize at the Lagny-sur-Marne International Competition (2013), the Tunbridge Wells International Young Concert Artists Competition (2012), and 2nd Prize at the Isidor Bajic Memorial International Competition (2014).
